Using CRW 10.0.5.82.. Mas 4.3, latest patches applied. I have a relatively straightforward report with a subreport that I use to create exportable CSV files to upload to our 401k provider.
It worked like clock work in previous years when I used CRW 8.5. In CRW 10, my data is all over the place, column and row size looks random, and the whole thing is just basically a mess. Fiddled around with it for a couple hours to no avail.
I am considering tyring to use my data with a earlier version of Mas so I can use CRW 8.5, but before I headed down that road to perdition, I thought I'd ask, is there a patch, technique or something out there which will allow me to export a Crystal report to Excel in a manner that makes the spreadsheet generated actually usable?
Thanks! - Ted

Actually, I just tried CRW 8.5 with Mas 4.3.. It works fine....
Not sure why I didn't think that would work.. so I have a work around, but if someone has an idea for making CRW 10 work as well as CRW 8.5 in this respect, I'd still be interested to know the answer..
Thanks - Ted

I have a lot of Excel macros dependant on the 8.5 Excel export style, that I couldn't make work with 10 or 11. It looks like I'll be keeping 8.5 around for a long time.
I can usually make a CSV report report compatible by making tiny changes in the .rpt file, making all the objects the same height and then aligning them to one another. Also, making each section fit snug against all itsobjects. Sub reports are a pain as their export is affected by the moon (I guess) as well as the Crystal version.
