Hello all:

I have a client that just converted to MAS 90 4.4. They are trying to get current year retained earnings to appear in the FRX balance sheet. MAS 90 balance sheet includes two accounts for retained earnings as you all know 3200 and then 3200 - current year.

They have nothing in 3200 currently and have their YTD net income in 3200- current year. When they link 3200 FRX comes in with 0.

Has anyone else had this problem or is this unique to this client?

Any ideas?

Hello

To get current year earnings, you need to do a GL link for the range of sales accounts down to the end of the expense accounts. 

You will use 3200 for the Retained Earnings after you have done year end close the first year.
