Sounds you like were on the default button of DDE when you clicked on Edit Script. That won't work. Click on the last button called Program, then Edit Script, then Paste. Louie's example of using that VB script is a very viable alternative. The main difference between the 2 is when using Program, it will pop a new browser using your default browser which might not be IE. Also if you want more control (e.g. you need to conditionally pop the browser only if the item number belongs to a certain product line) then you have to do a script.
