Re: IMB Price not updated

You can go to the Sage support web page and download the old manuals. The basics are the same although some have changed. You can also use the Help files.

Re: IMB Price not updated

Straight from the manuals on the Sage Support site.

Identifying Record Types
In the Import Job Maintenance window, click the Records tab to define how
to recognize different record types from the data source when importing to a
data file that uses multiple record types to store its data. You can also define
how to recognize records from the data source that should be skipped (not
imported).

Most data files contain records with the same type of information. Some
files, however, contain multiple record types, with each record type
containing different types of information. For example, the Accounts
Receivable Invoice Data Entry file consists of the Header, Sales Code,
Miscellaneous Charge, and Comment records. For more information on
multiple record-type data files, refer to your Technical Reference and
Support Guide (TRSG).
Record types are displayed specific to the data file selected. There can be
one or multiple record types.

Re: IMB Price not updated

Since Im not that familiar with MAS data structure and tables, and by only trying is not helping me,

the only thing I want, is to import to IMB_Price code the following values

PRICE_CODE_REC        2

PRICE_CODE                  (empty)  but its a required field by VI

PC_CUST_PRC_LVL     (empty)

ITEM_NUMBER                 E21254

IM_CUST_PRC_LVL       (empty)

DIVISION_NO                    04

CUSTOMER_NO              MNY100

DISC_MKUP_PRCR1     35

CUST_METHOD              O

what should I set up in the Record tab?

there is

standard record

pricecode record

itemprice record

item/cust price record

any help or example is appreciated,

Thank you

Re: IMB Price not updated

If this is the only record type you're importing, then you need just one line on the records tab.

Double click Item/Cust Price Rec and then assign the following values:
Position: 1
Start: 1
Length: 1
Relation: =
Value: 2

This assumes that your Price_Code_Rec data appears in the first column of your spreadsheet.

Sorry, I don't know how to paste a picture in here.
