Locking checkbox UDFs in version 3.71

MAS 90, ver 3.71

Using Customizer to create a checkbox UDF for Purchase Order (header).  I place the UDF on the PO Header tab. No problems.  This checkbox is for mgmt approval only.  I want most people to see the checkbox but not be able to check it.  However, when I go to the Object Properties, the "Locked" field is locked.  And I can't use the "Disabled" field either (this field is WAD).

It's been so long since I've used Customizer in this version.  I can't remember if you just can't lock a checkbox UDF or if I'm just missing something.

Upgrading is not a possiblility as company is in the process of rolling out SAP to its subsidiaries (18 month window for this branch).

You will need to setup different customizations on that screen for different users or user groups.

For managers have the field show up on the others don't show that field on the screen.

Robert, that's the workaround I'm using.  The challenge is that I want all users to be able to see if the PO is approved or not.

Also, are you saying that a checkbox is not "lockable"?

Unfortunately, I don't have my 3.71 install in my sandbox server anymore to test this.

I do know that on my production 4.05 install I am able to "Disable" my UDF Checkboxes for specific users/groups.

Sorry, I don't have a 3.71 handy for testing, and don't remember off the top of my head (or the bottom either).
