Problem with adding/deleting Crystal Reports in the AR Custom Reports location.

I added several new reports under AR CustomReports.  Each one that I opened and tried to preview then said"Report file xxxx_custom.RPT is not found or does not exist."

So I went back into the Report Manager and only two of the five now showed upon there.  I deleted the two that were visible.  Now threeremain under AR that do not work and I cannot delete them from Report Manager.

Has anyone had this error before?  Andhow do I delete the three reports that do not work but aren't visible in ReportManager?

Re: Problem with adding/deleting Crystal Reports in the AR Custom Reports location.

If you are running Version 4.1 or later, the CR filename has to end in "custom".  For example, your report should be named InvoiceHistCustom.rpt.

Add the report to the menu and you should be fine.

You may have to delete the other reports you added if their filenames did not end in "custom".

Re: Problem with adding/deleting Crystal Reports in the AR Custom Reports location.

Yeah, I do have the reports ending in "custom" (they all are in the format "xxxxx_custom.rpt").

I added them to the menu, and they won't run with the error I stated in my previous post.  They run fine in Crystal though, so I know the reports are good.   And when I try to delete the reports to re-add them, they don't appear in the Report Manager, yet they are still appearing under AR Custom Reports..... it is all confusing me as to why..?

Re: Problem with adding/deleting Crystal Reports in the AR Custom Reports location.

It is because they are listed in the Report Data File.  I have to do some digging to find it; but if you don't remove custom reports prior to upgrading to version 4.x and the associated module which is upgraded to the new Business Framework.  It will leave the report in the data file and you have to manually remove it.

Ok.  I will assume that by manually you mean Data File Display & Maintenance.  I will do some looking through there to see if I can find the location.

Thanks for the help so far.

It should be the SY_ReportSetting.M4T in the MAS_SYSTEM folder of your Mas Directories

Re: Problem with adding/deleting Crystal Reports in the AR Custom Reports location.

When ever I add a report using Report Manager it does not copy the file to the MAS90\Reports directory.  So, when the user attempts to run the report they receive the "report not found" message.

I have to manually copy the report file to the MAS90\Reports directory after adding the report in Report Manager.  Then it works.
