I am trying to reach data on the FAS database via Crystal 10 & can not get logged into the ODBC connection. The error received is: Logon failed. Details: 28000:[Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere][Invalid user ID or password]
I have tried every user ID & password combination from MAS. If I go into the MAS FAS application there is no login required, so I have tried my Windows authentication password in Crystal too.
What do I not have setup correctly? Or, is it a problem with Crystal 10 because everything I see is FAS Crystal XI. Also, I see two ODBC sources in my list: WINFAS32 & BESTSYS32, which one gets me to FAS?

Helps to know what version of FAS you are using.
You could try going to:
Reports | FAS Report Writer | Create new report

EES 1.3
I am trying to put FAS data as a subreport on a Crystal looking at MAS data, thats why I am not using the built in report writer.

I'm have a standalone copy of FAS and I have an ODBC driver WINFAS32.
What's rather interesting is that the standalone version of FAS does not require a user ID or password to access it yet it challenges for them.

I had a similar configuration with a subreport to ABRA. It worked in MAS 4.1. It does not work with MAS 4.4. It does work directly from Crystal but not when generated from the Custom Report Menu from MAS. I am searching for a reason and resolution.

Any chance anyone figured this out? Same issue in trying to read FAS from Excel. Prompts for a mysterious password.
