Hoping that someone can share with me when 1.4 of Enterprise will be shipping. Just read through some items on the Sage site saying 1st Quarter 2010 but thinking that I heard there is going to be a delay.
Additionally a link to what the 1.4 change(s) will be would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Dear Cadford,
I just posted an autoship update in response to a question in another forum with a mention to the EES autoshipment. You'll find that posting here: http://community.sagemas.com/sagemas/board/message
As for what is in version 1.4, that would be all of the benefits of Sage MAS 90 and 200 version 4.4, combined with an updated version of MAS Fixed Assets (v 2010.1) that contains tax updates. These will be combined with Sage CRM v 6.2, the same version of CRM that is in EES v 1.3. There are no functionality changes to the integrations between CRM and MAS with this release. Hope this helps!

I have a powerpoint from June 2009 that mentions EES 2.0 as being released in spring 2010 with significant changes mentioned in regards to MAS information embedded in CRM screens. There is a screenshot of a Finances tab in CRM showing the sales history, aging, credit summary. There is also an order screen embedded in CRM (so no more launching of MAS order screen from within CRM needed). Anyways, I am assuming none of this is in v1.4, and v2.0 has been pushed back to a later date. I haven't found any documentation on v1.4, which is strange considering it's already shipping. Thank you Erika for posting that information (although a document would be nice).

Dear hodedofome,
Your assumption is correct; none of the enhancements originally planned for EES version 2.0 are in version 1.4. The features and functionality described in the powerpoint for version 2.0 have been moved into the Sage MAS 90 and 200 v 4.5 release, currently planned for summer of 2011. Due to that change in our schedule, version 1.4 was added to ensure our Extended Enterprise customers would be able to take advantage of all of the MAS 90 and 200 enhancements in version 4.4 without having to wait. This also ensures that new customers purchasing EES have the latest MAS version.
I agree that a document would be nice, and we are working on pulling something together. Meanwhile, the 4.4 pre-release guide has the details of the enhancements available for 1.4.

Hi Erika -
For those clients on EES, but whose tax returns are not yet complete for 2008; can we install the EES Version 4.1 for the MAS benefits, then re-install F/A 2009.1.1 for tax purposes?
Thank you,
Kathleen

Huh? Sorry Kathleen, but you lost me in your question somewhere. Did you mean to say tax returns for 2009 are not complete? It is my understanding that Fixed Assets 2010.1 includes functionality to support the tax laws that need to be in place for filing 2009 tax returns. This is why, traditionally, a new version of Fixed Assets (or FAS) comes out in the late December/January time frame each year. So, if you have EES customers who are itching to have the benefits just released for Inventory Management, Purchase Order and Bill Of Materials in version 1.4, you can install the latest release of EES, including the latest release of Fixed Assets, and still file 2009 taxes correctly.
Now, if you really meant 2008 taxes, that may be a different story and you may want to call customer support to get some advice on that. Hope this helps!

Hi -
Nope, I really meant 2008 Corporate taxes. Fiscal year ended in 2009.
I am sorry to confuse you, that certainly wasn't my intent. I attended a Tech Tuesday webinar today with Rafael Casas. He was kind enough to answer my convoluted way of asking "Is the new MAS200 EES V1.4 compatible with FAS 2009.1.1? The answer is: NO
It was during the webinar I figured out how to pose my question "in English", as opposed to when I really posed the question.........................
Thanks for responding to me anyway - you are a Dear :~)
