Has anyone else encountered this problem? In running a report, once it pops up in Excel the Add-Ins and BI Tools tabs are missing. When I go to close Excel, there was a message - something about an object was missing. Anyone got any ideas?

FYI...client re-installed Excel and the tabs came back. Don't know what happened, but they're back in business.

We saw this with a client, too. In Excel, go to File (the "Office" button in 2007) > Excel Options > Add-ins. We could see the BI Tools add-in, so we chose Manage > COM Addins > Go (at the bottom of the screen), and enabled the add-in. Once that was done, things were peachy.

You would think there would be plain documentation or training on this LITTLE detail!
Just for the record, choosing manage COM addins and enabling works on Excel 2010 also.
I'm just glad this post was available. I googled the problem, and here's the answer... ![]()
