Dashboard Analysis report displays no data

We have four companies with regular sales activity.   The Dashboard Analysis report appears to work fine for three of them, however, for the most active company, the Dashboard Analysis report comes up with no data in it.  I doubt that anyone reading this has encountered a similar situation before since the product is so new, but I figured I would mention it anyway.  Sage Support is looking into it.  I'll post an update after the problem is resolved.

Re: Dashboard Analysis report displays no data

The last comminication I recv'd about this issue two weeks ago indicated that Sage is currently working with the software designer (Alchemex) to fix the problem.  Also as per Sage, in some cases the dates entered for the Dashboard select criteria are not the same ones that appear on the report, and they are working on that issue as well.

Re: Dashboard Analysis report displays no data

Nothing yet. I can't install it on my live SQL server until the end of the month since I am planning to erase it and rebuild it in a couple of weeks, and it wouldn't make sense to install SMI until after that's done and the dust has settled. But I plan to start bugging them for this come the end of May. It's been what, five months since I reported it, and a few months since they told me they had determined there were a couple bugs they needed to fix. Hopefully they are finishing up the fixes as we type!

Re: Dashboard Analysis report displays no data

I installed SMI onto our v7.30.5 system last month, along with all five SMI hotfixes, and so far the native reports seem to be working correctly.
Also, after some experimenting and communicating with Sage Support, I've been able to backup and restore our SMI installation to our test system, as well as schedule reports for auto-emailing to multiple recipients.  That works well.
Melissa, have you set up SMI security? It seems a little kludgy in that it does not present the entire list of MAS users in the list where you can select who has access to what. I'm told this is expected behavior. I'm not certain, but it might be because we use a Terminal Server. As it turns out though, using the "scope" functionality is really all we need. That allows me to set things up so that certain folders are only visible to users who are logged-in to certain companies. Combine that with the standard MAS security which allows me to identify who has access to the Connector; Report Manager; and Report Viewer tasks, and that works for us. We don't need the full capabilities of the SMI security task.

Re: Dashboard Analysis report displays no data

looks like all reports have been fixed in the latest updates.. Now I am having an issue with licensing, it's telling me I have -2 licenses available and I can't run any of the reports, any ideas?

Re: Dashboard Analysis report displays no data

I don't understand how it could show a negative number for available licenses.   Not sure what that would even mean.  I think that if you go into License Manager you should be able to delete allocated licenses, which should free them up making them available for the next time someone without a license attempts to open Report Manager or Viewer.
