Has anyone managed to come up with a side-by-side consolidated income statement with the companies for the columns and the accounting groups for the rows. Just wanting one period for each of the companies on this sort of report. I've been playing and can't figure it out.

Should be doable with FRx. What are you using?

Hi Stasia,
This is can be achieved by using the Consolidated Financial Reports Designer. The default layouts have account groups as rows and you would just need to drag the company name or code into the column grouping and you would generate side by side consolidated income statements.
Please note that you wold require the Connector module to allow for consolidations and the Report Designer to generate the side by side layout.

Well duh............. I guess it helps to read the category that the question is posted in! My bad!
If anyone would know the correct answer, Stephen would!
I found the on line classes helpful to get started in the right direction. However, I have to admit, one has to invest time into learning this program.
How have your refresh times been? With multiple companies to pull data from, I am very interested in the length of time it takes to pull the data into the SMI tables.
I have found Dan Burleson very helpful in SMI also.

Dan Burleson is a big promoter or SMI and they have been very successful in taking it to their customer base.
Regarding extraction times, a set of aggregated FInancial Reports have been provided to Sage Support that improves performance due to pulling through less detail into Excel and speeding up data extraction as well as report layout generation.
Length of time to extract is based on how many GL accounts exist as well as the size of your psoting history table - difficult to say exaclty?
