Sage MAS 90 and 200 partners have already received their download information for Sage ERP MAS Intelligence (aka SMI) software and we know many of you are eager to get started with it. To keep communication channels open, this new board has been established exclusively for SMI questions, concerns, and sharing. For those of you who are customers, you can expect to receive a letter containing your SMI activation code within the next few weeks.
While you wait, you may want to take a quick look at the free YouTube postings on SMI found at: http://www.youtube.com/SageUERPLearning When you arrive at the SageU ERP Learning site, you'll see that the site has separate sections for each product: Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200, Sage ERP MAS 500, and Sage ERP Accpac. In the MAS 90 and 200 section there are 4 separate YouTube videos dedicated to SMI, including one on how to install and activate the SMI software.
Enjoy learning all about SMI and this new board!

VKZIMM,
You can find your unlocking keys by looking up your account in Sage Online and looking under Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200 Third Party Products. While you are there, check to make sure we still have a current email address on file for you because that is the method that was used to send the information to channel partners. If your email is current in our records, but you are not the principal contact at your company, the principal may have it in his or her email. Or it could be stuck in your email spam filters. Regardless, once you get your keys, go to the usual spot in Sage Online where you would find downloads for Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200. You will see the link there to download Sage MAS Intelligence.

Steve,
Great question! Yes, to my knowledge, the letters were dropped from our mailing house today, October 11. Customers should start to see them in their mailboxes within the next week or two, depending on how quickly the USPS gets them delivered. For those who can't wait, please go to Sage Online and find your unlocking keys listed under MAS 90 and 200 3rd Party Applications. You can then find the download site from the Sage Online support area on the lower left hand side of the screen where all of the software downloads are found.

I'm confused or maybe just dumb... As usual, the instructions are not 100 percent clear (at least to me). Do I install this on the server or on each users pc?
I downloaded theapplicationon the server.
I created a shared folder on the server \\sage\Mas200\SMI
Please Help!!!
Thanks,

I have the same question as above.
It appears that this reporting system cannot be accessed from inside MAS200, is this correct?
Why do I need MAS Intelligence? Does it replace crystal?
Thanks,

Hi Keith and Abe,
Currently Sage MAS 90 and 200 Intelligence is a client application and must be installed on the workstations to access the product. It can be configured to run with MAS 200 by pointing to the MAS 200 data directory on the Sage MAS 90 and 200 Database Details tab of the Login - Sage MAS 90 and 200 Intelligence window. Once installed you can drag the Sage MAS 90 and 200 Intelligence from your start menu to your MAS 90 or 200 launcher to access SMI directly from MAS 90 or 200. I'm sorry for the confusing in the Installation Guide. I will review it again and see what we can do to make it clearer.
SMI has similar features and functionality to Crystal and F9. Creating containers are much like linking databases in Crystal. The connection used in SMI is ODBC so entering the login information in SMI will resemble Crystal. Both F9 and SMI are based on Excel. There are features in SMI that you won't find in Crystal and F9 though. SMI ships with several templates that can be copied, customized and linked back for future use. The Sage MAS 90 and 200 Intelligence Designer What If analyzer allows you to quickly and easily recalculate your financials given an increase or decrease in particulate values. SMI also has its own security users and groups.
Hope this is helpful.
