Re: Has anyone had this issue with BR entries not posting to the GL?

SJ, Welcome to the Community.  May you post long and prosper!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In order to offer any type of thought on this, it will be very helpful to know more about what is going on.  There is only one poster at the Community who can read minds, when he isn't reading the manual and we love him just the same.

Also, it is helpful to know which version of MAS (4.4, 4.3, 4.2, 4.1, 4.05, 4.1, 3.71) and which product update you have installed.

Finally, what step is not working?  In some version of MAS, posting an adjustment in BR has absolutely no affect on GL.

It is best if you are as specific as possible, otherwise no one is going to do the 20 question dialogue with you.  Most of us have day jobs........................

Hello, thank you for your honesty.  New to this type of communication. I appreciate your help.  I am on Mas 200 version 4.4 with service Release 5.  In this new version, the BR entries should post directly from BR module to the GL. However, it did not work.

Glad I could assist.  More information is always better.  Just saves time...

Has it worked in the past?

If not, take a look at your GL set options.  Is the flag for integrating with the bank reconciliation checked on??

Yes, it works in the other companies I set up.  I checked the GL options in this co. and it is integrated with the Bank rec. module, I don't know what else to check?  Thank you for your help

Welcome, sj - so if it works in other companies, i am going to presume that you have printed & updated the transaction register for this company? (although i should never presume).

And updated the Daily Transaction Register?  This is the step that actually updates the G/L.

And barring all the obvious things suggested above (they are good and the right place to start),  you might look at this.

BTW,  I'm not sure how this thread qualifies as a success story?

In the future you might want to start your topic in the correct section (such as core modules or even technical/installation).

Sorry for being grumpy,  I'm just kind of frustrated with the increasing number of posts that are not even close to being in the correct category.   Not only will  you be more likely to get answers sooner if you do so, but you will also reduce my frustation level:smileywink:.  People tend to look in the sections they tend to have an understanding/expertise/interest in.  Just kind of a fluke that I looked in this section today as usually there isn't much terribly exciting.
