Inventory Report Doesn't Match Inventory Transaction

I ran an inventory valuation and it shows I have 1,076 units of an item.  When I go to transfer that item into a different style number, I go to Inventory/Transaction Entry.  I enter that style number, then I select the desired quantity as a negative.  It doesnt allow.  The item is a FIFO, so I thought the issue might be a tier issue; however, there is only 1 tier.  Through trial and error, I determined that -205 is the highest I can do.  When I enter that, the screen pops up for me to choose which tier to take it out of, and the tier shows 1076 on hand; but still I am only able to reduce it by -205.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

What version of MAS?  Do you have any enhancements as you used the phrase "style number"?

It's all about the bottom line!

Re: Inventory Report Doesn't Match Inventory Transaction

Does the Inventory Valuation match what it shows in Inventory Inquiry?

Are there any units showing as "Committed" in Inventory Inquiry?

What version and what modules you have would be helpful.  In my system I would probably start by rebuilding the SORT Files for WO, SO, PO & IM.  This will make sure there are no items showing as "Committed" when they really aren't.

Re: Inventory Report Doesn't Match Inventory Transaction

It is Mas90 Version 4.20.  I just looked at the inventory Inquiry and I see were it says on hand 205, committed 873.  So I just rebuilt the SORT files as suggested, and problem solved.  Thanks for the help!

Re: Inventory Report Doesn't Match Inventory Transaction

Regardless of tier quantities, you can never enter a value for more than the total quantity that MAS believes is on hand across all tiers for an item.
