We just moved up to Sage 4.4 and we are enjoying many of the changes for the most part - still working out any little bugs - here is one that I am not sure can be fixed. Within Sales order entry - we are large fans of using the "/C" for comments - if and when we need to update a comment we could simply select the line comment and use the arrowns to get to the sections we wish to change. The left and right arrow work fine however the up and down arrows now take you out of the line you are in? Has anyone experienced this change in function or know if it can be fixed?

This issue has been reported to us and we are working on a resolution.  We are hoping to release a tip for this for 4.40 but it is still unclear if that will be possible.  I will update the forum once I know the final resolution.

Shift-Up Arrow and Shift-Down Arrow do take you up and down in the comment area - it also highlights the area in between, but as soon as you arrow again the highlighting goes away.

And CTRL-ENTER puts a CR in the comment - just in case you needed that.

Whoops - I see the Shift thing went away in 4.40.  But the CTRL-ENTER still works...

However the shift up and down arrows do not move me up and down in the comment - it takes me off of the line that I am on.

I really enjoyed the one trick - it will be so helpful

Congrats on getting up to 4.40 -- I have another JOB-OPS customer moving from 4.05 with JOB-OPS all the way up to 4.40.  It's quite a learning experience for them.  I think you were on 4.30 before so not too big of a leap.

We also have a client who is a HEAVY user of Comments in SO billing.  This change is a real issue for them.  Any word on progress?

I would love for this to be fixed - we are heavy users in SO Entry - we now copy the data out to a word document and delete the current comment line and insert a new one. Its that or shorten the comments which really does not look well on printed docuemtns. I hope it is fixed SOON !!

Hi, i have service pack 6 installed, but arrow down key still take me to the next line during comment entry. is it just me?
