I am trying to upgrade from Version 4.0 to 4.4. I have installed and migrated the data. I am trying to run this utility called the "Form Conversion" utility in some places but I can not locate it. Could anyone point me in the right direction? For some reason I can get onto the knowledge base just fine, but I can not access the infosource materials.

Hello,

From the "File" menu on the MAS90/Mas200 Launcher select Run

Enter SYWFCU and Press enter.  This tool compares customized forms to the base forms delivered with the product. It will  list tables and columns added or removed from the base form.

FYI - The 4.0 forms do not convert to 4.40 forms (the underlying report file schema is significantly different). Once you identify the differences from the base,  open the 4.40 version Form and modify to meet requirements - I can be a tedious process,  you can save some time with 2 monitors, 1 monitor w/4.0 form and 1 monitor w/4.40 form.

I have a slightly different problem with this utility.  I get a "File XXXXXX not found" error with an error #12 File does not exist (or already exists) in Program SY_CRYSTALAN Line 0138

Any thoughts on this magic?....Thanks

Hello,

The error indicates you are missing 1 or more of the Crystal componenets (DLL's) that SYWFCU relies upon to perform the comparison.  The easiest solution would be to install a 4.40 workstation on the system you are running SYWFCU. Hope this helps.

NG!.  Reinstalled the workstation on the server and still get the same error.

Are you running the utility from the server or workstation?

What O/S?

MAS 90 or 200 and version?

Terminal Services?

It is being run on the server.  Windows 2008.  MAS90 ver 4.40  (just upgraded which is why we need to do the forms comparison.)  We are not running terminal services at this time.

Appreciate any guidance.

Did you install crystal reports XI on the server?

Yes, Crystal XI which came with the MAS installation Package.
