MAS 200 4.3 & 4.5 Client on the Same Machine?

Can MAS 200 clients for version 4.3 and 4.5 be installed on the same machine?

Yes though if you attempt to run them both at the same time the desktop will ignite in flames shortly after stating that "A Business Desktop Has Already Been Started".

Re: MAS 200 4.3 & 4.5 Client on the Same Machine?

As Wayne says they will work  but I have had issues when running a 4.4 MAS200 client on the server in that  company data location folder mysteriously gets pointed back to the  4.3 data location.  When this happens it wants to convert the data.  Be aware of that.  I didn't have any issue if I used 4.4 clients installed on other workstations, only on the server..

Also, be careful with Crystal Reports. If you install Version 10 and then XI, if you modify any reports in 4.3, it might use version XI. If you modified and saved the report in XI, that report will no longer run in 4.3.

Related to JWoodhead's response, you may also get prompted about encryption for your Credit Cards. I have run into issues with this where it changes the CC info in the other install even though it appears you are in the right path (*info). I thought at first this change happens when ODBC CS was running and a user runs a report and it changes the ODBC path on the server, but I had it happen on a customer that didn't run ODBC CS. Do not know about anyone else but It has only happened on the MAS 200 version not on MAS 90.
