MAS200 version 4.2.

Just had 5 different workstations lose their desktop in MAS200.  They still had active tasks minimized.  The task varied from PO Receipt, inventory inquiry, Point of Sale entry, customer inquiry.

Only recent change to MAS200 was changing Auto Set Accounting Date from System Date from Prompt for Accounting Date.  This was done because there was an issue with Receipt of Goods in P.O. module pulling an incorrect date (not System date or Accounting Date).

Has anyone else experienced this?     Any input would be appreciated.

Almost sounds like the auto log off is turned on for the user (look at user maintenance - preferences),  but it doesn't make sense that the open tasks would not be closed.

The main reason this happens is because a work station has lost it's network connection. Besides the Auto-log off settings I would check the power management settings on each computer and see if the network card is set to power off after a certain length of time. Check the network cards and the cabling.  If this happens again have the user immediately open Windows Explorer and try to access the folder on the server when MAS is located. This will tell you a lot.
