MAS 200

We had Paperless office installed by our IT provider, they could not get it to work "properly" and failed to return to do anything about it.  I am the in-house IT , any suggestion would be MOST helpful.  I am trying to send purchase orders thru electronic delivery, and all attempts say successful.  However, the email is not received.   Everything is in order, and everything flows smoothly, except the email is not actually sent.. any help?  suggestions?   Am I in over my head?

Re: MAS 200

Can you send a test email from the email tab in company maintenance?  Do you see your PDF's in the Vendor Viewer?

Paperless office should be pretty easy to setup.  As long as you have your SMTP server entered correctly it should just work, at least on 4.40.  I'm not familiar with it on any other version.

Re: MAS 200

Have you tried emailing a P/O using the standard form code?

If the standard, non-modified form works, the problem is likely with your custom form.

Some questions.

1. What version of MAS are you on?

2. Are you using Exchange?

3. Was your IT providers MAS resellers?

4. Where are you located.

5. If you run the e-mail test does that go through?

6. Welcome to the Sage Community.

Saw something similar last week.

Client using Exchange Server.  Tweaked settings on the exchange server until the test e-mail worked from company maintenance,  but the forms would not send outside the client's own e-mail domain.

Gave up for the night and came back the next day and everything worked perfectly?   Believe the exchange server was re-booted.  Possibly some setting changes did not take effect until after the reboot?

Re: MAS 200

Go to:

Library Master | Main | Company Maintenance

Select your company.

Click the email tab

Test email button is in the lower right.

Does the email send correctly? Do you receive the email?

Re: MAS 200

It's been a little while since I set this up but I believe these are the steps to setup Exchange if the test email is not working:

  1. On the Exchange Server open Exchange System Manager
  2. Under your email domain, expand "Servers > [ServerName] > Protocols > SMTP"
  3. Right-Click "Default SMTP Virtual Server" and select Properties
  4. Go to the "Access" tab in the Default SMTP Virtual Server Properties window.
  5. Click on "Relay" in the Relay restrictions section.
  6. Select the radio button for "Only the list below" and click "Add"
  7. Enter the IP Address of your MAS server and click OK.
  8. Click OK until you are back to the System Manager screen.
  9. You're not supposed to need to restart the Exchange server but it's Microsoft, so if the test still doesn't work outside of your environment, give the Exchange box an after-hours restart and test again.
