Re: MAS 90 work around on 64 bit server

What's the password to extract the zip file of this download?  I didn't see it in the thread, so perhaps it was added later.

Thanks, Robert

Thank you.  I guess I should have tried the obvious first.

Re: MAS 90 work around on 64 bit server

To access the 32 Bit ODBC manager you create a shortcut to the following file.

c:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe

This should be the path and file name to the 32 bit ODBC manager.  NOTE: If you are running a 64 bit application, you CANNOT access the 32 bit drivers and if you are running a 32 Bit application you CANNOT access the 64 bit Drivers.  IT WIIL NOT WORK.  So make sure if you don't have 64 bit ODBC drivers you have to make sure all your applications are installed as 32 bit applications.

Re: MAS 90 work around on 64 bit server

I used the above process to run the 32 mode ODBC generation and have the data source set up. I test it and it returns succeeded with a over 900 tables to the particular company I set it for. I am attempting to create a Linked Server using this Data source to link  SQL 2008 to MAS 90 4.0 but my linked server set up continues to give me architecture error between Driver and Application. I am running this on Windows 2008 64 bit Server and MAS 90 is not on the same Machine as SQL. I believe MAS 90 is running on a 32 bit Windows 2000 server. SQL 2008 was installed as a 32 bit application. I used the 32 bit drivers and DSN's to created the linked server. The only mismatch I see is in the servers could this cause a potential issue between SQL and MAS 90?

Re: MAS 90 work around on 64 bit server

JSousa, I would suggest starting a new thread with your question as since this one has a solution, people may not take a look at your question and you may never get an answer.
