I see the MAS200 has an SQL format, and I was wondering why the MAS90 has just come out in SQL?

Huh?
MAS90 and 200 are exactly the same. With MAS90, report processing takes place on the local PC. With MAS200 the processing is done by the server.
There is no MAS 90 SQL, only MAS 200.

No, MAS 90 is still file-based processing. The SQL version is only for MAS 200 not MAS 90.

The whole MAS90 thing causes a lot of confusion. In the beginning MAS90 stood for Master Accounting Series of the '90s hence MAS90. This was and is a file server type application. When Sage, then State of The Art came out with a Client Server version they called it MAS200 but everyone still refered to the program as MAS90 even if they were on MAS200. Currently Sage has three different offerings of the MAS family.
1. MAS90 - File Server
2. MAS200 - Client Server
3. MAS200 SQL - Client Server with SQL backend.

BL,
Just a reminder, when the Client Server version came out, they called it MAS90 C/S. It was after Sage came that they changed the name to MAS200.
Yes, I have been associated with the software in some form for that long.
Using MAS200 v4.2 & MAS90 v4.2, FRx (w/Report Server), FRx Webport, & F9

I understand that MAS Intelligence can be used to create reports from any module in MAS.
Why wouldn't that be a good option to create multi-company reports in lieu of Crystal?
For e.g. creating Sales History reports by item by vendor for 2 companies that utilize the
exact same customer, vendor and inventory lists.
thanks!
