I am on a Vista machine. I have my clients v4.3 data and wanted to test the upgrade to v4.4.
I have Service Pack 2 of v4.4 installed and I can access that version.
I can run the Pre-migrations with the Mas90 folder just copied to a drive.
but during the Paralled migration I get the error.
I have copied their data using Move instructions by deleting the Uninstall information and renaming the Installation.pvc
and when I install over it, it gets done copying everything, i get the error.
I have done this before with no problems. Any ideas?
I tried everything in the Techdoc without success.

Rename the Uninstall folders
In the Home directory, click on the PVXCOM.EXE (you will see nothing)
In the Home directory, click on the $ACTPVX.BAT (you will see something flash)
if you have a REGCOM.BAT in the Home folder click on that
IN c:\Program files\common files\install shield\Professional folder Rename the Run Time folder
In the SY folder, rename the Installation.pvc file
Reinstall v3.71 over this installation, you will need to re-enter the registration keys.
Do all of the above, as I tried one at a time and it did not work.
