Did you ever find out what got rid of the "This task in use" message?  I'm getting it now.

Yes, I uninstalled 4.4 and removed all folders, after that everything went well. Because i had tried to migrate prior to installing a work station I may have had a file somewhere that thought it was migrating. I was not able to migrate from the 4.4 workstation, I migrated from the server's 4.4 folder and file called migration.

Ok, so how do you get past the dreaded "You are not authorized to use this program" when running Pre-Migration.  User Role logged in is Administrator for all companies. 

Why can you do Parrallel Migration but not the Pre-Migration.  I'm left with one company to migrate.  Who wrote this program???  Seems backwards in trying to secure something to me.

Did you actually go into role mainetance and add access to pre-migration to your adminstrator role?
