Problem with Inventory Maintainance and Inquiry after Version 4.4 upgrade

Whenever we try to run Inventory Maintainane or Inquiry under the 4.4 system we get a dialog box with the following text

Error Encountered

File "IM_Options" not found

When we pull the info on it is seem to be coming from SY_MaintUI.pvc program at Line 1583 when attempting to the IM_Options file. The error that it generates is an Error #12: file does not (or already does) exist.

TIA

Re: Problem with Inventory Maintainance and Inquiry after Version 4.4 upgrade

Welcome to the Sage Community!

If this was a recent upgrade or install you should be asking your reseller. Have you tried to go into the Inventory Setup Options? Basically it is looking for the IM_Options file which is created when you setup the module and it can't find it. This can be caused by the module not being actived or setup. Again this is what your reseller if for.

Re: Problem with Inventory Maintainance and Inquiry after Version 4.4 upgrade

I would, but; my Reseller has less experience with 4.4 then me... Also because of the upgrades at sagesoftwareonline.com neither of us can log in to see if there is a Knowledgebase resolution.

Been in the Inventory Setup Options - all files converted and modules "Activated"....

So, still looking for a solution.

Re: Problem with Inventory Maintainance and Inquiry after Version 4.4 upgrade

I've dumped the debug info here if this can help anyone help me pinpoint the problem.

Also, did virifiy that IM_Options.M4T file does in the IM[company] file. Can even read it with Data File Display and Maintenance.

Re: Problem with Inventory Maintainance and Inquiry after Version 4.4 upgrade

After you did your upgrade, did you check the security settings?  There are many more in version 4.4 and maybe you do not have some permission needed.

Try accessing with a role that has All permissions.

Having the knowledgebase down is a pain.

Re: Problem with Inventory Maintainance and Inquiry after Version 4.4 upgrade

Made sure that the security setting were not restrictive as to access. Problem remained.

Reviewed in my mind what could have been the cause. No one seem to have the same problem here, so; unistalled  4.4 off the system and the reinstalled. This time it hung up on installation. Check the CD and it had a nice V-shape mark from the packaging.

Polished the CD, re-installled, pre-migrated, migrated, and ran all of the post migration tasks...

The problems with the Inventory Maintenance and Inquiry was resolved...
