The latest product update is killing my sales department.
Can I copy the program files from the backup without going back in time with the company files?
Thanks

I mentioned it in the distribution discussion:
We can no long use the Purchase Unit of Measure on a sales order. This is a frequent need for us as we have many items in "each", "pack" or "box", and "case", and have customers that order in all three. They prefer to have their confirmations, packing sheets, and invoices match their order quantity/packaging.
We would switch the UM on a sales order to confirm packaging quantities and now have to go to inventory inquiry to confirm case quantities.

I'm curious to know why it's killing your sales department.
My sales department loves PU2, mainly because they can print sales orders in 4 seconds instead of 40 seconds.

We used to (last week) enter a lot of case orders. I'm a wholesale distributor so I have many manufactures and products with many different packaging quantites. I have products with case quantities from 2 per case to 11,000 per case and almost everything in between.
We haven't had an issue with print speeds. Do you have CRM loaded and integrated to Outlook? That killed our print time for paperless until we turned it off.

The only way to reverse is to re-intall. If you re-install v4.50 in a new location and migrate data you should be o.k.

I just discovered the converse is also changed.
I cannot purchase 1 box if the purchase quantity is 1 case. This is something we do regularly also.
Can someone from Sage confirm that restoring from backup of the 4.5.01 install will still allow me to use my up-to-date company files?

Dev is working on the UoM issue and will have a hotfix published this week. Likely to be posted today or tomorrow.

TheOtherGuy,
What was the logic behind this "enhancement" or was this another "whoops" moment?
