Hello All,
I had the impression that to update MAS200 from 4.2 to 4.3 you can just install over it, so I selected "Maintain or update the instance of this app" and choose my MAS directory. After clicking next, I'll get this error in the Please wait screen: "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate." I know this is a common error for InstallShield but I don't know what is causing it.
Should I start a new installation instead and then migrate the data?
Thank you,
A.

Where is your reseller? What did they say when you told them what happened?
Are you doing this from the server or from a work station?

First off. My rule of thumb is always do a parallel conversion. Never install an upgrade over your live copy. If a problem occurs you are done. 4.2 -> 4.3 will let you install over the live copy, it just isn't a good practice.
Make a copy of your existing, rename the uninstall info directory in it and then install over the copy. Advantage being that both versions will still be available.
That being said, that still doesn't explain your error message. As BL suggested you may want to enlist the assistance of your Sage Partner.
