My company has been experiencing some weird issues since our upgrade to v4.4. First of all we now have to wait 10-30 in between screens where as version 4.05 we didn't have this issue. All of our machines and server have been upgraded to handle the software upgrade so I know it is not that. We still have the same antivirus exclusions so I know it is not that as well. The server is a windows 2008 quad core with 8gig of ram running in raid5 with its only role is application server so it doesn't do dns, dhcp, ad, or any other server things. I disconnected all the machines but one and ran it on a switch to verify the network traffic didn't spike and never went above 2% so I can't figure out why it would be doing what it is doing.
I created a test terminal server and things ran fine that way but my users keep exiting out wrong and have repeatedly stated they can't work that way and want the old look.
The second weird that is that some users have their mas90 application screen shake. I thought it was a phone/speaker or something that would interfere with an lcd monitor but I can have another user login to the same machine and works just fine, has anyone ever experienced that?

You have the same antivirus exclusions - but isn't your new MAS in a new folder? (Or didn't you exclude by folder?)

Welcome to the Sage Community. With the change to the Business Framework panels now take longer to open especially with MAS90 due to the increased number of files that are opened and moved across the network to the workstation. There is not much that can be done to overcome this.

MAS90 version 4.40 get installed to a new folder. So make sure the antivirus is not scanning the new location, also, add the MAS extensions to be excluded:
DD, DDE, DDF, LIB, M4D, M4L, M4P, MT4, PVC, RPT, SOA, XEQ
Also, if the screen is shaking, typically the only time I see that is when a PC monitor is too close to a power outlet or other electrical wiring.

Thank you all for responding. I have verified that the mas90 folder is excluded and as a test I created a virtual machine that currently has no antivirus and has the same problem.
As far as the shaky screen it only happens with certain peoples accounts as one user can log in with no issues and another user will get the shakes.

The screen "shakes" could be related to the screen resolution.

Thank you,
Turns out in windows 7 even if you have the resolution at 1280x1024 you can put the put your "display" to medium or large making the screen act like it is 800x600. MAS90 doesn't give the errors like the resolution is too low because technically it is not.
Now if I could only figure out the slowness we would be happy campers.

Just some additional information to see if it helps ring a bell to anyone, none of these slowness issues were happening on the slower previous server. Does version 4.4 have any other super network requirements that 4.2 didn't have? The network is 100mb with cat5e wiring and I have searched these forums and others to see what people that have the new 4.4 are running and why they are not experiencing the same slowness we are.

Another strange development. It would seem that on the same network we have one windows xp machine and it doesn't have any of the same slowness issues. Is there any big difference between windows xp and windows 7 that would cause a 10-30 second delay between all the modules?

Does this slownes happen on every MAS window and or module?
I have seen a 30 second delay sometimes caused by an invalid printer. When buidling a list of printers available to a window, MS Windows will try to connect to the printer as it enumerates it. The standard connection time out is 30 seconds. In some module windows, the OS will not realese the window to load until the printers are enumerated and any "non-available" printers can delay that process.
