If the server is running mas 200 ver 4.2 can the workstations have 4.3 be installed

If you are accessing the 4.2 data on the server, no.

If the server is running MAS200 v4.20 there is a file on the work station with the version number. When you start the client on the work station it checks to make sure the versions match. If they do not you will receive an error message. However you can install MAS90 v4.30 on the work station and run it on the work station although you have to be careful about "breaking" Crystal forms and reports.

Different versions of MAS use different versions of Crystal. If you have installed a version of MAS that uses Crystal 8.5 and you also have installed MAS90 that uses Crystal 10 or 11, and you open the 8.5 version of a report and save it, you will have "broken" it and it will no longer work in the version of MAS it was intended for. You see this often in situations when people are testing before an upgrade and have a test install on a work station.

I don't understand how you can install a 4.3 client on a PC and access data from version 4.20 thats on a server.
