There are significant changes to the Arizona state income tax withholding that take effect on July 1, 2010 but I can't find anything in the tax table updates that addresses them. Am I missing something or do I have to manually set the new rates up?
Thanks
Bernie

I looked at this for a client a month or two ago for a client.
My recollection is that the change is based not only on a percentage, but also on the method of calculation.
I don't recall exactly which way this goes, but as I recall the old method was a % of federal withholding and the new way is based on % of gross taxable wages. I may have this reversed.
If the update does not automatically change it in tax table maintenance, click the Edit Steps button and change the calculation method as appropriate.
In addition you need to change the AZ filing status for each employee based on their new withholding certificate.
