I am new to this company.  I am being told that payroll can not be entered to multiple depts per employee.  I think there has to be a way??  For example if oour employee works 20 hours line 1 (dept 70) and 20 hours line 2 (dept 75).  Can I not enter 20 hours to each dept????

Of course you can.  Each earnings detail line has a department code.  It defaults to employee's "home" department.  Change it.  You can also change the state code if the employee is working in a different state.
