I have a customer who is not for profit using Mas90.  They are requesting ability to distribute earnings per program.  Anything out there for this?

What do you mean by "program"?

Their are different programs (funding programs) within a not for profit, so they want to establish linking a gl account to a program and be able to distribute the hours worked per program to different gl accounts for earnings.  Hope this makes sense, sorry if it does not.

You can set up earnings codes for each program, to post to their respective GL accounts.  You'll need to enter the hours per program individually in data entry, or use VI to import.  Note that the employers' tax expense will still be determined by the employee's dept. setup, so you'd need to do a GL allocation to adjust.  (I believe this is still the same in the most current versions, but there may be an Extended Solution to automate it.)

In addition,  the department can be changed on each line of entry,  which will allocate taxes.

Thanks for all the great tips, I have also found in version 4.4 under employee maintenance Wages Tab you can select the box auto earnings and set up automatic earnings codes for each employee and distribute by percentage or fixed amount.  The funding programs can be set up as earnings codes and each program can be a percent of the employees wages the dept can be selected by earnings code also.
